Foulquier: "Hard fought wins are the best ones"
The Valencia CF defender analyses the victory against CA Osasuna
Valencia CF's Dimitri Foulquier, looked back over the victory against CA Osasuna on LaLiga Matchday 31.
The win
“It was a hard-fought victory, but those are the best ones. It's a win for the group. It seems that we are a team who are very supportive of each other. We defend together, we suffer together. We are having a good season, there are a few games left and we have to continue competing.”
Keeping 12 clean sheets
“It's a lot, and it is the result of the team's hard work, the individual performance of Mamardashvili and the performance in general of the entire group. It's also luck, but when you work hard, luck accompanies you. You have to keep going, without giving up. We have to maintain our attitude, which is what will allow us to get points.”
Penalty
“I have seen the VAR footage and for me it was not a penalty. Mamardashvili saved it, to his credit. To win away from home you have to suffer. We were mentally prepared for that and we are going to progress.”
Europe
“The important thing is always going to be what happens on the pitch and us competing, and that's it. Every game is difficult; there are none that are easy. We are going to go compete against Betis and our fans will help us a lot, as always.”
